Ex-Pirates star keeps it cool amid exit from the club

An former Orlando Pirates star looks to be keeping it cool following his exit from the club.

After joining the Buccaneers in 2020, Thabang Monare is officially a free agent after his contract came to an end but by the looks of it, the midfielder does not seem too fazed about his future.

The 34-year-old took to Instagram to share an image of himself dressed up in all-black attire, albeit not the attire Pirates fans have become accustomed to seeing him in.

Fans will be forced to now become used to not seeing him in their colours anymore. It wasn't all gloomy, however, as the outfit that consisted of a cool leather jacket, a black shirt, a sleek pair of jeans and eye-catching boots really gave off the aura of someone that will quickly bounce back to find another path.

His attire also consisted of small details that give it an extra element. The ring on his right finger, the gold necklace, the glasses and the beanie just brought the whole look together.

Even the words he matched with the picture can be associated with good levels of composure.

"Don't be sad it came to an end, smile because it happened," Monare wrote.

Grant Kekana took to the comment section to show some appreciation for the way Monare is able to drop some top drip.

"Young Boooooooish. When do you wear normal clothes mara? Can't drip everyday," Kekana wrote humorously.

Football matters:

In an official statement released by the club earlier this month, the side highlighted Monare's achievements in Soweto since making the move from Bidvest Wits.

"From the day he stepped foot in the club, the 34-year-old gave it his all. Desh has been the embodiment of hard work and resilience, featuring in 93 matches for the Buccaneers," it read.

"Monare leaves the club with 2 Nedbank Cup, 2 MTN8 Cup and a silver medal for the CAF Confederation Cup."

Joining him in departing the club are Siyabonga Mpontshane, Kermit Erasmus, and Richard Ofori.
