A statement by the football institution on Facebook confirmed, "We are thrilled to announce that Tso Vilakazi has joined Prestige as the new Head Coach of our Academy!
"With his extensive experience and passion for nurturing talent, we are confident he will lead our academy players and coaches to new heights. Tso's vision aligns seamlessly with our dedication to excellence and the development of youth in sport.

The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns star, who retired in 2015, was reported to have been attending a coaching course in Botswana in 2021.
In June 2024, he was among a dozen participants in the Betway 12th Man programme, an initiative that helps retired athletes in South Africa transition into new careers in sport, media, and business.
Speaking during that event, the former playmaker spoke of his coaching journey, revealing that he wants to focus on developing young players who could go on to become the next big star.
"You need to equip yourself so that you can play a role, not only as a coach but also as a father figure, a brother, and a friend," said Vilakazi, according to SABC.
"You're not going to be able to do that if you're not equipping yourself, so I see myself in a very good space now with Betway, helping me equip myself and become ready to go back to eKasi and help the young ones develop and be better than me.
"Because my dream is to develop a player who will be better than I was as a player."
