Footballer, fashionista and excellent entrepreneur

Orlando Pirates star Vincent Pule is not only a good footballer and fashionista, but the forward is also one heck of an entrepreneur

The 31-year-old is currently plying his trade for the Soweto giants and has built a solid career for himself considering that he has a DStv Premiership title and two MTN8 trophies to his name. What he is doing off the field, however, is almost equally as impressive as his accolades on it. It is common knowledge that any professional footballer will not be able to get paid for their athletic efforts forever, and the attacker seems to be doing his best to prepare for life after the game — whenever that may be.

His fans will perhaps be hoping that the day he hangs up his boots is still very far away. Still, it never hurts to prepare. In fact, his preparations have ensured that fans get to know another dimension of his personality during his playing days, strengthening the connection between his followers and their favourite player.

Pule seems to be a fashion fanatic, regularly taking to social media to show off his style, his ability to put fantastic outfits together, as well as his modelling talent. The playmaker did something that is often advised by many, and that is to go into a field one is passionate about. He has done so with football and looks to be doing so with fashion as well.

The 31-year-old started his very own business in 2020 called 'Vincent Pule Mashonisa Brand' and it truly showcased his knowledge of style as his brand showcased various items that were all very fashionable, while also being very unique.

It offers a products that range from hoodies and beanies to keep you warm and cosy during the cold air of winter — at fairly modest prices — as well as stylish t-shirts that are erfect for those scorching summer days.

The launch of his clothing brand was also special in a distinct way because it showed the comradery between South African players have when they are not battling it out for victory on the field of play, which is always a refreshing site.

Various players including Bongani Zungu, Zakhele Lepasa, and Happy Jele got their hands on the merchandise and used their own social media platforms to help promote the brand.

Pule seems to be a man dedicated to entrepreneurship and intent on becoming a business mogul. His ambitions that stretch beyond the football pitch could prove to be an inspiration to aspiring footballers. And if they follow in his footsteps, perhaps it will be such a good thing for South Africa as his influence could lead to even better footballers who transition into entrepeneurship once they decide to leave the life of football behind.

"The Rivaldo fan is focused on establishing his own business in his spare time and enjoys being around his family and friends," the official Orlando Pirates website said as a description of what he enjoys doing off of the pitch.
