With Elon Musk's Tesla Cybertruck growing in popularity among the rich and famous, you may be asking yourself why has no Premier League star been spotted with one despite their obvious wealth Let's take a look!
The story
It was almost exactly a year ago when the first Tesla Cybertruck deliveries were made on 30 November 2023 in Austin, Texas in the United States.
A year later, the vehicle is one of the most instantly recognisable cars in the world, thanks to his unique design and tremendous popularity among affluent people.
Music superstar Justin Bieber and famous television personality Kim Kardashian are just some of the popular people who have purchased themselves this innovative ride, while US athletes such as Anthony Edwards, Lamelo Ball, and Trae Young have also got their hands on it.
But with the Premier League being one of the highest paying football leagues in the world, some might find it a bit odd that perhaps a Jack Grealish, Mohamed, Salah or a Marcus Rashford hasn't been spotted with one.
Well, there's a genuine reason for that. The United Kingdom road safety laws deem the Tesla Cybertruck incompliant with their regulations and guidelines.
A leading car dealership in the UK, Premier Sports Solutions, claims that as many as 15 Premier League stars asked them if they could get one but they were told no, as the Cybertruck is too big for many European roads.
The design and the size of the car sees it fall outside of the England's strict demands on road and pedestrian safety.
The founder and CEO of Premier Sports Solutions, Richard Clark, told The Sun: "I'd love to be able to sell Cybertrucks, and they're very desirable, but I can't.
"We've had between 10-15 Premier League players who have asked about them.
"However, you are not allowed to have them on our UK roads because they haven't passed the crash test here. It's a big no, unfortunately.
"If someone wants one, they'll only be able to look at it on their drive and won't be able to take it for a spin."
