With the January transfer window currently underway, Mamelodi Sundowns seemingly have the edge over rivals Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs with at least two deals set to finalised by the Tshwane giants.
In the race to make reinforcements as the season reaches the halfway mark, Sundowns have moved aggressively, outpacing the Soweto duo of Chiefs and Pirates, who are yet to get a single deal over the line.

The Chloorkop-based outfit are reportedly just hours away from completing a deal for long-time target Jayden Adams from Stellenbosch FC in what is billed as a big-money move.
Stellies head coach Steve Barker did little to shoot down reports of what is now considered an imminent exit for the Bafana Bafana midfielder.
"I'm not going to confirm nor deny your question [if it's Adams' last game for Stellenbosch] because I can't confirm anything and I'm also not going to deny it," Barker said on Sunday following the CAF Confederation Cup win over Stade Malien at Loftus Versfeld.
Meanwhile, Sundowns are closing in on the signature of Bafana striker Lebo Mothiba, who had landed in the country and has been training with the league defending champions as talks continue.
Both signings will further boost the side's already star-studded squad.
Meanwhile, rivals Amakhosi and Bucs have been somewhat sluggish in the window despite being linked with several names.

Nevertheless, major changes are still expected at both sides, with Chiefs understood to be pulling out all the stops for Polokwane City's Appollis and Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch.
Their bitter rivals are expected to welcome some arrivals before the window slams shut at the end of January - with Appollis also understood to be top priority.
