Another Sundowns star set for exit

Following the high-profile departure of Andile Jali, attacker Gift Motupa is set to be the next first-team star to follow the midfielder out the Mamelodi Sundowns exit door.

Motupa has been struggling for regular playing time this season under head coach Rulani Mokwena since arriving in 2022 from now-defunct Bidvest Wits.

The 28-year-old attacker is believed to have already finalised his exit from Chloorkop and is now weighing up his options for next season.

Alongside Motupa, defender Brian Onyango is another player facing an exit with his contract set to expire at the end of June.

"There have been issues with Motupa. He is one of the players set to leave the club at the end of this month, " a source close to the player's camp tells KickOff.

As previously reported, Lesedi Kapinga also faces an uncertain future after agitating for a move during the Januray transfer window.

Kapinga is reported to have a frosty relationship with Mokwena with the two having had a falling out recently.
