Mamelodi Sundowns' foreign quota matter will ring louder with confirmation that Abubeker Nasir still remains contracted to the club.
There had been widespread reports that Nasir had left after Rulani Mokwena pointed out that the Ethiopian was no longer a Sundowns player during a radio interview.

This then created wildfire speculation about Nasir's next club, yet he has been back at Chloorkop for pre-season.
Nasir has had a difficult stay at Sundowns playing 14 games in his first season, before dropping to three in the first half of last season, which then led to him being de-registered with his foreign spot taken by Argentine Matias Esquivel.
"Abubeker remains a Sundowns player up to this day based on what I know," confirms Fekade Mamo, the president of Ethiopian Coffee, where Nasir played before joining Sundowns.
Mamo - a respected figure in Ethiopia and across the continent - remains a father figure to Nasir having had him at Coffee for years.
"What I also know is that he will join them when they come back (from Austria) because he is already back at the club.
"I don't know what plans Sundowns have for him, but I have been in communication with Abubeker himself and he told me that he is joining them when they come back.
"If Sundowns are not interested in him, then he will have many other potential clubs that he can join.
"There are clubs in Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire and Morocco that he can join.

"He is not going to be coming back to us, and I state this categorically so," Mamo explains to KickOff from Addis Ababa.
With Nasir still at Sundowns, it means the club has six players for the allotted five foreign spots.
The other five are the Brazilian pair of Arthur de Oliviera Sales and Lucas Ribeiro Costa, Marcelo Allende (Chile), Esquivel (Argentina) and Moroccan defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil.
