A former PSL striker believes that Iqraam Rayners will be the key to Mamelodi Sundowns' success in their Betway Premiership encounter against Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday.
Sibongakonke Ndlovu, erstwhile Sundowns marksman, feels Rayners can make a significant impact as the two teams compete for three points at DHL Stadium down in the Mother City.

"I wouldn't say Iqraam Rayners is the best signing in the PSL this season, but there's definitely potential there. As long as he is on the field, you can expect a goal," Ndlovu says, previewing the match with KickOff.com.
"He's the type of striker who leads a team to victory. I think he will be a major factor against his former club on Wednesday."
Ndlovu, who joined the Tshwane giants in 1998, hopes this match will provide clarity on what Miguel Cardoso is bringing to the team since his first game was against a tough opponent in the CAF Champions League.
"While Stellenbosch might pose some challenges, I doubt they will threaten Sundowns significantly. The only team I expect to truly challenge Sundowns is Stellenbosch."
He noted that the Winelands outfit's performance has been poor thus far this season, possibly affected by their involvement in African competitions, unlike The Brazilians, who have gained experience playing both domestically and internationally.

"Yes, Sundowns may dominate possession, but I think they are lacking in goal-scoring this year. The change in the technical team might be a factor, as they have largely retained the same players without many new additions.
"Among the new arrivals, Rayners is performing exceptionally well. Hopefully, things will improve once [Peter] Shalulile starts scoring again."
Kick-off is at 19:30.
