'I don't think he'll move to the likes of Chiefs'

Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Sello "Page" Mahlangu advise Bongani Zungu not to swap the DStv Premiership champions for a local club.

Zungu made only 13 appearances in the league for The Brazilians in the 2023/24 season.

Last Friday, the Duduza-born star confirmed his departure from the Tshwane giants, and now top Premier Soccer League clubs like Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are being linked with his signature.

"At this stage, it's not clear if he is the one who decided to leave, or it's the club who asked him to. So far, we haven't heard anything from the club," Mahlangu says, speaking to this website.

"I don't think he will move to the likes of Chiefs in terms of financial implications. At his age, he is not going to accept anything less than what he is currently paid.

"I hope this is just a rumour because we still need him more at Sundowns."
