Mamelodi Sundowns are confronted with a decision of where to take their upcoming match against Kaizer Chiefs, with rugby elbowing the fixture out of Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
March 1 is the date and, as per the PSL fixtures list, Loftus Versfeld Stadium the venue for the highly anticipated encounter between the two giants.
However, there is a rugby game at the same venue on the day, to be contested by the Blue Bulls and the Stormers, with the hashtag #FillUpLoftus having gone viral on social media in recent days.

That match kicks off at 17:00, with the soccer game pencilled in for 15:30.
All this points to the Betway Premiership encounter being moved elsewhere.
But where?
Up to so far, Sundowns, the home team, are yet to provide an update on the situation, with tickets for the Category A encounter expected to go on sale 10 days or so from now.
The only other home alternative is the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium, where the two sides have met before without hassle.
The last of their encounters there happened on 23 September 2023 in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-finals, where The Brazilians walked away 2-1 winners courtesy of a Peter Shalulile brace, with Ashley Du Preez finding the net from the penalty spot for the Soweto giants.
Loftus has also been in the news for its less-than-impressive pitch after the recent match between Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, and word is that the Nedbank Cup Last 16 tie against Mpheni Home Defenders has since been moved to Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The latter, therefore, seems the most sensible option.
Situated in the heart of Atteridgeville, the stadium has a township feel to it and famously hosted the first leg of the 2016 CAF Champions League final, where a rampant Sundowns beat Zamalek 3-0 on a memorable October afternoon.

Issues, though, have been raised regarding parking space in and around the venue.
To that end, the 'bigger and better' FNB Stadium has also been suggested as an option, though that would hand home advantage to Chiefs.
