"I know his personality, he would have done it for anybody else. He did the same for Peter, he has done a lot of positive things for his teammates to make sure that everybody is part of the group and I'm very happy that Sales has got his goal," Mngqithi concluded.
Mngqithi highlighted that they had to keep former Masandawana players Lesedi Kapinga and Keletso Makgalwa in check.
"I think there were moments where we were a little bit sloppy. We made a lot of tactical errors on the ball, losing the ball cheaply sometimes, especially in the final third," Mngqithi said on SuperSport TV.
"And not moving the ball as fast as we could to try and arrive to the full-back sometimes but overall I think the control was good, everything turned out the way we anticipated.
"We controlled Kapinga and Keletso very well, because they were going to be a problem in transition. I think the boys deserve all the credit," Mngqithi said.
The former Golden Arrows coach also suggested the young centre-back Malibongwe Khoza is knocking on the Bafana Bafana ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
"I'm very happy with Khoza, I think he's developing into something big. I can tell you know, if he continues the way he is, he has a very big chance to go to AFCON, with the national team. I have no doubt," Mngqithi said.
