According to whispers, what is the centre of this speculation is that the 31-year-old is pushing for a firm three-year contract.

At present, it is understood that the Namibian's deal at the Tshwane giants is not cast in stone but instead has options.

Word is that there is an agent who has been engaging Sundowns on behalf of a club in the Middle East and is keen to iron out a deal favourable to Shalulile compared to what he has on the table at Chloorkop.

The big step is on Sundowns coming to an agreement on a transfer, which will then pave way for another striker, who worked with Miguel Cardoso at Esperance.

This website has been told that Shalulile flew into Windhoek on Monday with his family and then returned to Johannesburg the next day alone.

This gives the biggest hint of all the behind-the-scenes happenings that are gathering momentum.
