Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Papi Mbele believes the team can overcome Group B leaders FAR Rabat in Sunday's decisive CAF Champions League clash.
Rabat tops the group with nine points, while Sundowns hold second place with eight points, three points above third-place Raja Casablanca.
A loss to AS FAR could allow Raja to overtake Sundowns for the second position, but Mbele star feels the Brazilians can get a result at Loftus Versfeld.

"Whether we make it to the quarter-finals or not, I doubt the coach's job is at risk given the good work he has done. Under his guidance, we are playing the way Sundowns should play—no more long balls. Sunday's match shouldn't determine the coach's future," Mbele told KickOff.
"With a coach like him, I doubt we will lose on Sunday. He is always working hard to remind the players of their roles on the pitch. He is a good coach, and I believe he will take us all the way. Once we reach the quarter-finals, our players will regain their self-belief and confidence.
"With the right attitude and discipline from our players, Coach Cardoso will lead us to our second star.
"Rabat always presses us whenever Ronwen Williams tries to start our play from the back, making it difficult for Sundowns if our build-ups don't begin with him.

"I think the Sundowns players will go into Sunday's match at Loftus aware that if we don't win, we could find ourselves in a scenario where two Moroccan teams qualify for the quarter-finals. We need to prevent that from happening.
"Our players just need to maintain discipline and avoid unnecessary red cards."
