There was also an outcry about the surface of the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday after both Orlando Pirates and Magesi FC treated the fans to a dull match.
Polokwane executive mayor John Mpe has revealed that it will take around a month to fix the pitch at the New Peter Mokaba stadium following the damage caused by the concert.
Cardoso was frustrated by the pitch's standard when his team visited Richards Bay at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday, where the claimed a 2-0 win.
"Very difficult to play, dry pitch. The PSL needs to decide to water the pitch in pre-warmup, after warm-up, and at halftime to increase the quality of football" Cardaso told journalists in Durban on Saturday.
"People would say your players are technically good maybe they have an advantage but it's what kind of football you want to sell. It is the product that you want to sell and I think better football can be played because I also see good players from Richards Bay and other teams that we have played already.

"It is in the interest of football, it makes the game quick for both teams, it makes the game more spectacular, and at the end that's we want to have a good show because at the end football is a product that is being sold and I think it will help", he added
The Polokwane Derby between Polokwane City and Sekhukhune United has already been moved to the Old Peter Mokaba stadium on 5 January.
