Mmotong tells KickOff.
"What that game taught me is that as a footballer you should always go to a game mentally ready. "Tau and Makhanya kept on telling me, welcome to the big league boy. "I was so excited when Jimmy Tau finally injured me, it allowed me to catch my breath. "That game was horrible, at Silver Stars we played 3-5-2, I was on the left, so I had to come up against Jimmy Tau and Joseph 'Dukuduku' Makhanya. They both gave me a tough time. "Remember I was playing against Orlando Pirates, not Golden Arrows or some other club. "I was only informed in the dressing room that I was in the line-up, I had to switch on immediately. "But that day I got the shock of my life as I was put in the first eleven. I was not even ready or prepared. "The thing is, I was used to being introduced in the second half when a game was starting to open up.
"The same thing happened again when I was playing for Mamelodi Sundowns, but this time I was prepared. I had learned my lesson, once you are in the matchday squad you must always be switched on."
