The Ugandan has now played his club football in South Africa since 2006 and is unmatched in terms of success.
Beyond the 11 league titles, Onyango has won the CAF Champions League, CAF Super Cup, African Football League, Nedbank Cup (thrice), Telkom Knockout (twice) and MTN8, pushing his total silverware collection to 20.

Beyond all that success, he is now hanging on to a one-year option on his contract at Sundowns, where he has been a solid back-up to Ronwen Williams.
"At this moment nothing is final, but we are working on the options," Ivica Stankovic, who has worked as Onyango's agent for two decades, tells KickOff.com.
"There will always be opportunities available for Denis that we will pursue.
"He remains under contract with Sundowns until the end of June.
"The matter is in the employer's (Sundowns) hands and for us what we are aware of [is] what steps to take next based on what happens.
"Denis is a legendary goalkeeper," says Stankovic.
