Bafana Bafana's Percy Tau and Mamelodi Sundowns' Peter Shalulile have made the final three shortlist for the CAF Interclub Player of the Year award in the 2023 CAF Awards.
The duo will be heading to Morocco where the award ceremony is to be held on 11 December and when the continent's best players, managers, and teams will be confirmed and recognised for their brilliance over the past season.

Other big nominations for South Africa are that of Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies head coach Jerry Tshabalala both in the final three shortlist for the CAF Women's Coach of the Year award.
Additionally, Banyana Banyana are nominated for the CAF Team of the Year as well as both Mamelodi Sundowns' men's and ladies' teams making the final three for the Club of the Year Award.

Alongside Ellis and Tshabalala, Downs duo of Teboho Mokoena and Andile Dlamini could also be could be heading to North Africa for the grand ceremony.

Mokoena's long-range strike against Al Ahly is nominated for the Goal of the Year award while Sundowns Ladies' goalkeeper, Dlamini, is shortlisted in the final three for the Goalkeeper of the Year award.
Still with Sundowns, Refilwe Tholakele and Lebohang Ramalepe are nominated for the Interclub Women's Player of the Year. Perhaps the biggest nomination for South Africa comes in the form of Thembi Kgatlana who has made the final three of the CAF Women's Player of the Year.
