Cardoso on youngster: 'I had a meeting with Mr Flemming...'

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has expressed his hope that one of the side's youngsters gets more game-time to establish himself in the senior team.
Nkosi, who is Sundowns' DStv Diski Challenge team captain, has been promoted but is yet to get playing time in the senior team yet due to the tough competition for places.
Cardoso outlined that he sees a great future for the players and more minutes on the field is needed.
"With Ntando, (it) is more of a difficult situation with him. He is a very good player and that's why he was promoted, though he has spent more time with the DDC side. We would want him to get more time with the senior team and get more game-time," the coach told the media at a recent press briefing.
"But I had a meeting with Mr Flemming (Berg, Sporting Director), and I said it's not good just to have the young players sit on the bench. Rather, they should play more in the DDC side. Even players like (Asekho) Tiwani, (Kutlwano) Letlhaku, and even Thapelo Maseko spent some time with the the DDC because we wanted them to keep playing.
"That's why I would like to see Ntando play more games in the league even with the remaining games. That's my aim," he continued.
The Portuguese mentor revealed the other factor keeping Nkosi on the periphery.
"There is no doubt about his qualities, but he competes with two internationals in Tebogo Mokoena and Bathusi Aubaas. That's tough for him.
"One time when we were in Tunisia, he played in (a) friendly game together with the other players who remained behind and one of my assistant coaches told me that we have to give Ntando a chance in the first team, and that's why I am saying he needs more game-time before the end of the season.
