Following weeks of speculation, the immediate future of Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch has been decided.
Lorch is set for a reunion with Rulani Mokwena at Wydad Casablanca in Morocco's Botola Pro.
This will be the third occasion that the pair work together, having first joined forces at Orlando Pirates, where the attacking midfielder proved to be one of Mokwena's key players in what was an otherwise forgettable spell for the young tactician.

Mokwena was also influential in snapping Lorch away from The Buccaneers in January 2024, bringing him to Sundowns.
However, things had taken a turn for the worst with the coach's shock exit from Chloorkop at the end of the season, coupled with the player's injuries that saw him fall down the pecking order.
His only on-field contribution this season was a three-minute cameo appearance against Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League at the beginning of January, while he also did play in the preliminary stages of the competition against Mbabane Swallows, registering a goal in the second leg as Downs won 8-0 on aggregate.
With the former Chippa United man looking for opportunities elsewhere, Sundowns began offering him to local clubs, notably Sekhukhune United, along with Lebohang Maboe.
No deal materialised, however, as the latter eventually joined SuperSport United on deadline day, while Lorch is now set to sign for Wydad on loan.
This website understands the Tshwane giants are still open to the sale of Lorch, although his deal is a short-term loan one, and how he fares in North Africa will have a major impact on the final call to be made by the club at the end of the season.
Kaizer Chiefs made serious efforts to sign the former Bucs fan-favourite when his availability was made known.
However, Sundowns were always unlikely to sell to a rival.
Lorch leaves the side with six goals and three assists registered from his 21 appearances.

The 2019/20 PSL Footballer of the Season is expected to be on Moroccan soil by Friday latest.
He joins Cassius Mailula and Abdelmounaim Boutouil as the latest players to reunite with Mokwena up North.
