"Captain Themba Zwane has penned a contract extension, keeping him at the Club beyond the 2024/25 season!," the club announced on X.
The 35-year-old has ended any speculation about his future by extending his contract, with his previous deal set to expire in June.
Zwane has only made two appearances in the Betway Premiership this season after tearing his Achilles tendon while on duty with Bafana Bafana in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier Congo Brazzaville.
Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso did reveal earlier this week that Zwane has been training, but it remains to be seen when he will return to competitive action.
