Vilakazi believes Jali to suffer same fate as Kekana

Benedict 'Tso' Vilakazi fears Andile Jali may no longer have a future at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Jali's contract with the Brazilians is set to expire at the end of the current season and is free to sign a pre-contract with a team of his choice.

Vilakazi believes the defending champions are set to release Jali in a similar fashion to former captain Hlompho Kekana.

"The delay in offering Jali a new contract is not caused by money or age, he is just being phased out of the picture," Vilakazi tells KickOff.

"The sad part in all this is that this is happening when the team is winning.

"It's the same thing they did to Hlompho Kekana.

"There is no way a club will delay in signing a player if a coach still needs that player.

"It doesn't matter how much money Jali wants, if the coach wanted him the team would have given him a new contract.

"If a coach wants you, he is going to force the team to sign you.

"Remember when Kekana was being phased out, that is when Jali grabbed this position with both hands.

"No one at Sundowns wants to give a clear answer regarding AJ, but with my experience, I can see where it's going.

"I'm sorry but Jali is going to end up like Kekana.

"Jali needs to know there is life after football and it's not the end of the road.

"It's time to plan for life after football."
