Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has reflected on his first match in charge of the club after a narrow win over Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.
A lone strike by Iqraam Rayners in the second stanza handed Sundowns a 1-0 win over Raja, as they climbed up to the top of Group B.
Cardoso emphasized the importance of starting his first match with a victory.

"Very important obviously. I believe now we're more comfortable but still a long way to go, this will be a very open group, a very tough one. We know our responsibility, we know how tough it will be, so today was important," Cardoso said on SABC Sport.
"Also difficult to manage, I felt a little bit anxiety, a lot to work in the future, we need to grow a lot but happy for the commitment, that is the base for that growth.
"So congratulations to the boys, the fans. Our sky is our limit, I believe hard work can pay off. Obviously not everything was perfect, we can do better. We need time and to have more time is to keep on winning."
After going to the break with the score deadlocked, The Brazilians introduced Kutlwano Letlhaku from interval, who changed the game and made an assist to Rayners.
"Very important to manage the game. At half-time we understood we had to change a little bit of structure and it gave us something and we tried to regain balance and managed the time. It was an interesting game in this part also," the Portuguese coach added.
