Maritzburg United coach Fadlu Davids believes the errors have been costing his side after their loss to Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday night.
The Team of Choice lost for the fifth consecutive time in all competitions and this defeat further dents their chances to beat the drop come the end of the season.
However, having gone two goals down in the opening ten minutes – United bounced back to go in at the break level before Yusuf Maart's penalty settled the contest.

"This critical phase of starting the game. We started very good – on the front-foot, creating opportunities and then a counter - ok the goalkeeper slipped it can happen," Davids told SuperSport TV.
"But these errors are what's costing us. The fight the performance you can't fault the players. They gave their all but slip in the box one side and slip in the box on the other side. It just brings you through.
With the battle down the bottom very intense, the stance of the Team of Choice is to fight in the last seven matches with results of utter importance right now.
"That's why I say we started the game really well, this is the fight we need. This is the fight we need for our seven cup finals remaining and we going to continue, we're going to continue with this fight.
"We've let our supporters down. We gave them good football, we gave them good performances but we need results now.
"So, continue with the good performances, fix this critical phases and this mistakes, this moments that we giving to opponents we've shown."
