Maritzburg United coach John Maduka has slammed his side's performance after suffering a resounding 3-0 defeat to Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday.
The Team of Choice dropped to 15th position in the DStv Premiership standings on Tuesday after going down 3-0 away to Stellenbosch FC, with an own goal from Thabo Moloisane compounded by second half strikes from Stellies' Antonio van Wyk and Sinethemba Mngomezulu.

Maritzburg United were made to pay for their own mistakes for the opening two goals after defensive errors goalkeeper King Ndlovu and Moloisane resulted in the hosts' opening goal, before a break down in communication result in a second being conceded shortly after the break.
"Very disappointing. Very, very disappointing. We never pitched. Very, very bad performance," Maduka told the media after the match.
"We did not compete, we started the game very slow and allowed Stellenbosch to come into the game. It was not a very difficult game but we made things very difficult for ourselves.
"The first goal was from a wrong decision we made in defence, we scored an own goal. The second goal, the same, two defenders go for one ball and don't communicate and we got punished. Maybe with the third goal you can say that Stellenbosch managed to open us up to score, but to be honest, we did not pitch. It was a very poor performance and I am very disappointed.
"(Rowan) Human, I think he was the only player who raised his hand. You could see the boy trying, but can Human play against the 11 players of Stellenbosch? No ways. So, very disappointed with the performance."
