Tlolane completes return to former club

Defender Tebogo Tlolane is back at Maritzburg United after completing a sensational switch to the KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit on transfer deadline day.

Tlolane returns to Maritzburg for the second stint after spending time with the club in 2020.

The 28-year-old defender has joined the Team of Choice on loan from Orlando Pirates until the end of the season.

Tlolane is due to start training with Maritzburg United on Wednesday, according to a source close to the club.

"Tlolane is back at Maritzburg United. The deal between Pirates and Maritzburg United was completed last night," the source tells KickOff.

"He is due to arrive in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday to start training with the club," he added.

Meanwhile Maritzburg United have terminated the contract of Bongani Sam after spending six months with the club on a loan deal from Orlando Pirates.

Sam has since joined Swallows FC on loan until the end of the season.
