Maritzburg United have invited former Stellenbosch United FC star Leletu Skelm for an assessment as the club aims to bolster their first-team squad ahead of their campaign in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
Maritzburg will be aiming to clinch automatic promotion back to the top-flight after being relegated from the DStv Premiership last season.

The 25-year-old attacker was part of the Maritzburg team who participated in the weekend's KwaZulu-Natal Premier's Cup.
"I don't know yet if I'm going to be signed, we haven't discussed anything yet, but I think things are going to be much clearer this week," Skelm tells KickOff.
"For the time being, I will continue training with the team."
If signed it will be a second spell for Skelm at The Team of Choice after being released in January 2023 after joining from Stellenbosch.
Maritzburg United could not be reached for comment.
