PSL club set to hijack Royal AM target

DStv Premiership club Royal AM are set to lose out on one of their biggest transfer targets.

Former Maritzburg United goalkeeper King Ndlovu recently agreed to join the Durban outfit, depending on their current FIFA imposed transfer ban being lifted.

According to an insider, Marumo Gallants have also made contact with Ndlovu, and is now expected to sign a deal this weekend.

Because of the transfer ban imposed by FIFA, the KwaZulu-Natal club is struggling to secure the commitment of potential transfer targets.

"King wants to sign with Royal AM, he wants to stay in the DStv Premiership, but at the moment, it looks like the ban is not going anywhere," a source tells KickOff.

"King is not short of suitors, especially in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, where you need an experienced goalkeeper to win promotion.

"He is prepared to play in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at least for a season.

"If the ban is not lifted he is going to Marumo Gallants. That's what he promised them.

"Remember King is from Garankuwa, so joining Marumo Gallants will mean he will be staying at home.

"The club is no longer based in Limpopo; they are now a Tshwane club. So, King, he will be closer to home."
