Bloemfontein Celtic fans send message to Marumo Gallants boss

Bloemfontein Celtic fans have sent a clear message to Marumo Gallants boss, Abram Sello to consider relocating the DStv Premiership side to the Free State province.

Celtics fans made a surprise appearance at the Lucas Moripe Stadium during a league encounter between Gallants and SuperSport United on Saturday to support the Limpopo-based side.

Despite the huge support from Siwelele, Bahlabane ba Ntwa suffered a 1-0 defeat.

Popular Bloemfontein Celtic supporter Botha Msila says their presence at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday was an attempt to lure Marumo Gallants to the City of Roses.

"This supporting initiative is the issue if trying to have a relationship with Marumo Gallants at the same time to convince them to bring their games to Bloemfontein and have a proper relationship," Msila tells KickOff.

"We enjoyed ourselves at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, and remember it's been a long time since Celtic fans went to a football stadium to watch a live match.

"We have been doing get-togethers many times in trying to revive the spirit of Celtic and have it not die like Wits, Platinum Stars, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Highlands Park.

"It was a clear picture that the entire green and white colours, they still want to see themselves back in the stadium and supporting football.

"We hope the chairman of Marumo Gallants takes it seriously and adopts us and becomes a big family and possibly Celtic we may never know might be back," he added.

Meanwhile, Marumo Gallants coach, Dan Malesale says it was encouraging to see Bloemfontein Celtic supporters showing support.

"This is a surprise to me; I didn't know that they are coming. I really don't know how to feel until I understand what is happening.

"It's encouraging. It's nice to have supporters. It is always nice to have supporters. It's really encouraging. If I were those players, I would be crazy today.

"I would be filled with that thing of wanting to impress and express myself. Who doesn't want to hear the supporters singing for you?" said Malesela
