Malesela warned about Gallants situation

Marumo Gallants FC head coach Dan 'Dance' Malesela has been advised on how to escape relegation.

The Limpopo province club is stuck at the basement of the DStv Premiership log table with only two wins in eighteen matches played.

They still have the Nedbank Cup and the CAF Confederations Cup to compete for.

According to Dylan Kerr who once saved Gallants from the same situation, Malesela must start to prioritize.

"It's the status that counts in the PSL, you know the financial situation," Kerr tells KickOff.com.

"Playing in the PSL and playing in the Motsepe League - it's a vast difference financially.

"I've been there before [with Marumo Gallants], and we had fewer points than they have now, and we had two games extra and it was very difficult because of the off the field activities with the previous owners and the new owner who was trying to get things right.

"Now they find themselves in the same position, I went to watch them and AmaZulu on Saturday, and both teams between them had only four shots.

"So it's important for them to prioritise where they want to be. I mean if Dan Dance can qualify for the semis of the Confederations Cup - financially it's going to hurt Gallants.

"The priority is to stay in the PSL, you don't want to be in the NFD. It's a very, very difficult league to get out of the NFD.

"They had two shots against AmaZulu on Saturday and one was a penalty."
