EXCLUSIVE: Gallants land big sponsor

Following Marumo Gallants' relocation to Bloemfontein and the launch of a new kit, a major sponsor announcement is also in the works, KickOff can exclusively reveal.

This website previously reported, in an exclusive report, that Gallants are undergoing a managerial shake-up.

Indications from sources are that when the club purchased the status of Moroka Swallows, chairman Abram Sello did not exactly go out of his own way to fork out an amount upwards of R40 million to get back into the topflight.

As stated previously, Sello has allegedly partnered with various businessmen, who were previously involved in running and managing football clubs, and together they have formed a consortium that is now behind Gallants.

As revealed by this publication, Bahlabane Ba Ntwa are in the process of transitioning back to the Bloemfontein Celtic name, with previous owners of the club alleged to be part of the consortium.

Although there is currently a stumbling block in acquiring the naming rights of Bloemfontein Celtic, which are still owned by Max Tshabalala, sources reveal that processes are going on behind the scenes for the club to reflect and inherit Celtic, not only in name but also in structure.

After unveiling a new kit that reflects Siwelele colours and despite coaching chaos, we can exclusively reveal that Gallants have landed a major sponsor/partnership with Mercedes-Benz South Africa.

The consortium is believed to have clinched the deal largely thanks to the pedigree and experience of some businessmen, who have been in the game for long, particularly in Bloemfontein.

In the unveiling of a new kit, Gallants players modelled their regalia at City Gardens Motors in Bloemfontein, alongside Mercedes-Benz cars and advertising boards.

Indications are that a partnership deal with Mercedes-Benz is in place and an official announcement is imminent.

As previously revealed by KickOff, Gallants new moniker 'Siwelele Sa Marumo' has been approved and is currently in use.
