Abednego Mosiatlhaga leads 14 NFD stars who could move to Absa Premiership PSL clubs

A large influx of players to the PSL will come from the GladAfrica Championship next season, with one or two top performers expected to sign for Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns.

There have been a number of players who have impressed in the second tier of South African football this season, with no less than five players now linked to Absa Premiership teams.

Pirates and Sundowns are believed to be eyeing JDR Stars midfielder Moeketsi Makhanya, who is second on the top goalscorers chart with 12 goals, four behind Abednego Mosiatlhaga of Ajax Cape Town who is on 16 goals.

Kaizer Chiefs have been linked with TS Sporting star Chawanangwa Kawonga, who is willing to wait until after their transfer ban is lifted before making a move.

Amakhosi also have the highly rated Given Thibedi they can bring back from his loan spell at Swallows FC, where he has been showing he has the potential to join Ernst Middendorp's squad.

"Ja, the way I see it, the standard was high," ex-Black Leopards head coach Joel Masutha tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"The likes of Mosiatlhaga from Ajax, [Wonderboy] Makhubu of TTM, I believe they've made an impression and most of the boys will be in the PSL next season.

"I'm not sure about the big three because there are a lot of dynamics there. You need to be completely ready. I think they can play in the PSL but I'm not sure about the big three.

"This boy Mosiathlaga, I think even last season he deserved it. I was surprised he didn't continue with Stellenbosch because he was one of their star players."
