Ajax Cape Town are hoping the 2019/20 NFD season will be completed in one way or another as the threat of being denied promotion lingers.
Club spokesperson Thabiso 'Shoes' Mekuto says what matters most currently is the people's safety and not their chances of gaining promotion back to the Absa Premiership.
The Urban Warriors are top of the GladAfrica Championship table with a seven-point gap between them and second-placed Swallows FC.

With both teams having only six matches remaining, Ajax are at an advantage as only four wins will be enough to take them to 60 points, while on the other side even if the Dube Birds win all six matches they will still not reach 60 points.
Asked how would it make them feel if the season was declared null and void due to the deadly coronavirus after putting in so much effort to get back to the top-flight, Mekuto plays down the situation.
"I think the main concern is the situation that we are in right now as a country," he tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"The most important thing is the country dealing with the infection or the affected in terms of coronavirus, it's not about the football. The solution to our problem is going to be step by step and I'm sure they would be able to come up with an amicable solution.

"I don't think we will go as much as stressing about 'what if'. There's not going to be a 'what if', there's going to be a solution. Football is played from August to June. We are not in June.
"When we were relegated we stayed until during the month of June. So we know what it feels like to be on a rollercoaster ride.
"I think we got where we are because we played games and we believe the six games left to be played, there are a lot of options for those six games.
"Those six games can be played over three weeks, and those three games can be played behind closed doors, and those three games can be played in one area."
