Gcaba was released by Eagles in January after a strange incident in which he drove the team bus then had a fallout with management.
However, the player and club have now sorted out their differences and the former Bafana Bafana defender has rejoined the team in the bio-bubble after agreeing to play until the end of the season.
"Yes, I'm back at Eagles until the end of this season," Gcaba confirms to snl24.com/kickoff after rejoining the club as a free agent.
"When I left them I was confused on how I ended up leaving but now we've sorted things out. I'm with the club and we want to make sure we survive relegation."
Gcaba, who could play against his former club Free State Stars at Sturrock Park today (15h30), would not divulge more details on how he ended up returning.
"Things are totally different now," he adds. "The team is in another spirit and we all want to win all our remaining games."
Struggling Eagles are sitting rock-bottom of the GladAfrica Championship five points from safety with six matches to play.
