On Saturday, under their new coach Morgan Mammila, the Limpopo outfit host the Natal Rich Boyz at Global Stadium in Lebowakgomo, desperately needing a win to keep their chances of promotion alive, as that would mean all teams are level on three points having all played two matches.
Troughton believes a loss for Bakgaga will end their dream of returning at the top table of South African football next season.
"It's gonna be a tough situation. There'll be interest if Baroka wins against Richards Bay tomorrow," Troughton reasons.
"It's gonna be interesting since Baroka have got a change in their coaching department. "Sometimes that can work, sometimes it doesn't. The new coach coming in might be able to inspire the new players to win against Richards Bay.
The former Tuks coach then goes on to reveal who might have the edge in these energy-sapping games.
"I know Tuks well, they have certain players who can win them the play-offs. Not winning enough games in the PSL might be a problem for Richards Bay because sometimes players get used to losing.
"At this stage, it's too close to call, but my choice would be Tuks because they have the facilities required for a PSL team.
