Uthongathi FC look set to lose former Bafana Bafana left-back Cheslyn Jampies as well as in-demand striker Menzi Ndwandwe.
Both players' contracts expire at the end of June.
Ndwandwe has netted 11 times this season in 25 matches and has made it no secret he will be leaving at the end of the current GladAfrica Championship campaign.
According to a reliable source close to Ndwandwe, the goal-poacher is as good as gone.
"There are lot of teams who are interested in him. In the PSL it's Chippa, Celtic, and then in the NFD it's Ajax," the source tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"What he is waiting for is to finish the season because they also know that his contract is coming to an end. They tried [to convince him to stay] but because they denied him a move to Ajax at the beginning of the season, it became difficult for them to come to him again and persuade him to stay.
"What happened is, not being allowed to leave didn't sit well with him. But he told himself that because he will no longer have a contract with the team he must perform this season, until his contract finishes.
"He hasn't decided yet which team is he going to join, he is still searching for a good contract first, and where he will be afforded game-time."
Meanwhile, Jampies has played a total of 23 matches in all competitions and has been approached by the Cane Cutters to extend his stay.
"Jampies feels like he needs a new challenge," another source says.
"There are two teams that have contacted his representative. It's just a good friend of his, it's not like he is his agent though. Swallows, Ajax... but maybe he's pushing for him to go back to the PSL. It seems he will only be with Uthongathi if they happen to win promotion.
"He had a good season so far. There was a time he would be in the paper week in and week out because of his good performances. The club had a meeting with the players about their contracts before they went home.
"Jampies was offered a new deal but he said 'not now'. He stated that he first wants to concentrate on winning the league you know. They have offered him a 16-month contract. The bosses at Uthongathi do look after him well to be honest."
This website understands that the likes of Ali Badra, Philane Shange, Njabulo Ngcobo and Issa Sarr will also see their contracts expire in June.
