KickOff has been informed that Thamsanqa Gabuza's club search struggles have died a slow death, after he finally clinched a deal with Durban City in the second tier.
This website reported on Friday that the experienced striker was still on the hunt for a club, as per his agent, Mike Makaab of ProSport International.

"There is no finality as yet, not at the moment," said Makaab, at the time.
Gabuza has been training with the club, who were until recently known as Maritzburg United, and even featured for them in the pre-season KZN Premier's Cup, which also featured fellow KwaZulu-Natal outfits in AmaZulu FC, Golden Arrows, Royal AM, Richards Bay FC and Milford FC.
According to sources, the former Orlando Pirates player has done enough to be snapped up and has signed on the dotted line on a one-year deal.
Since his breakthrough at Arrows under Manqoba Mngqithi in 2009, the 37-year-old has only ever played in the topflight.
He has also been on the books of SuperSport United and TS Galaxy, while also having represented Bafana Bafana 16 times.
A re-branded Durban City side will hope the man nicknamed 'Ganda-Ganda' (meaning tractor) will bulldoze his way past opposition defences on a regular basis and score the goals that will boost their quest for a return to the top tier.
The Ladysmith-born player only featured eight times for Galaxy last season – four starts and four substitute appearances – so his immediate goal will be securing game time.
Gabuza is a much-loved character in the South African football community, not least because of his incredible sense of humour and ability to poke fun at teammates, opposition players and even match officials in a way few can. This should explain why fans have been eager to find out what is happening with his playing career, and some won't be too happy he will be a little out of the spotlight, with the second tier still considered 'a jungle' with minimal media coverage.
