The agent of former Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila coach Erol Akbay's has confirmed reports that his client is in the running for the vacant Warriors head coach position.
The Dutchman resigned after only a month in charge at TTM and cited interference from club owner Lawrence Mulaudzi as a reason.
"Yes I did apply for the [Zimbabwe] job two weeks ago. We were asked to submit our CV," Akbay's agent Bheki Ndebele tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"And also we have an offer from a Malawian club but national team is our priority at the moment."
Akbay who previously coached Ngezi Platinum and Highlanders in the Zimbabwe PSL, arrived at Venda-based TTM as a replacement for Serbian coach Moma Medic, who had been sacked.
Medic won a case against the club to be paid out three months' salary after his exit, and the same has happened for Akbay.
Ndebele says the club has informed them through their lawyer that they will be paying the three-month salary owed to the coach.
"It was in the PSL DC. Our first hearing was on the 12th of December," Ndebele says.
"The Tshakhuma asked for postponement then we got a call from our lawyer advising us that they want to settle the three-months salary and bonuses."
Vhadau Vha Damani CEO Sello Chokoe confirms that the two parties have reached an agreement.
"Ja no Akbay we gave him a three-month settlement," adds the 'Gloved One'.
"Ja the case was just done, he will get it in the next few days but the settlement has been done and ja we have reached a settlement."
