GladAfrica Championship wrap

Thanks to a great second-half strike from Zaphaniah Mbokoma, the Birds managed to secure all three points at Makhulong Stadium, moving to within six points of Ajax Cape Town after dominating play with some good accurate passes.

Interestingly, Mbokoma also scored against Kings during the first round when he was at Richards Bay FC.

This was sweet revenge for TTM, who lost 3-2 at home in the first round but made no mistake at Sturrock, where Modibedi Mokoena struck early to leave the Urban Warriors on tenterhooks. TTM with 44 points, sit one behind Swallows.

The Hammer Boys will be desperately unhappy after again throwing away an opportunity to keep pace with the trendsetters a few points above them.

Playing their third game in just six days, the Natal Rich Boyz wilted away to a more-determined Tingwenyama, for whom Njabulo Ndlovu and Dillion Goss were on the scoresheet.
