Mulenga's last team was GladAfrica Championship outfit Cosmos in the 2017/18 season but ever since then he has been involved in a battle with the club for his clearance and monies that were owed to him.
The talented star spent three years not being able to kick a football due to his lengthy debacle with Ezenkosi boss Jomo Sono.
The 33-year-old left-winger has now joined Zambian giants Forest Rangers on a season-long deal and says he is happy with the new developments as he will now be able to do his talking on the field of play.
"Yes, I'm now with Forest Rangers, it happened last month," Mulenga tells snl24.com/kickoff. "I didn't want to talk about it. I want people to see me on the pitch playing. I have been talking too much without action. I have signed for a season."
Mulenga explains how he finally managed to get his hands on the clearance he has been waiting for from Cosmos.
"Got it via ITC. My contract with Jomo had finished so it was issued to me via ITC. You see like in my case, because my issue went to FIFA, what happened now is that after FIFA ruled on my issue automatically my contract with Jomo Cosmos finished.
"So even if he didn't want to give me my clearance, I just apply through the International Clearance Office. Now if I contact Jomo and he refuses to give me my clearance, I can just directly go to the International Clearance Office, and then they will check my status with Jomo.
"Because I tried to communicate with Jomo and he wasn't obviously communicating. So we applied via the International Clearance Office, and then they checked my status and they saw that my contract with Jomo is finished, and then they issued me with a clearance.
"I haven't played any league game yet, my fitness hasn't been good, but I'm almost there. Should be playing soon."
