Palmer has been busy in the recently-concluded ABC Motsepe League playoffs scouting players for his future employers. The 54-year-old says he last coached in 2019.
"No it's been Covid, so my last team was Royal Eagles," Palmer tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"So last year I was at Richards Bay in November, December but it didn't work out between us. In the playoffs [I was with] Vaal University of Technology just scouting there. You know, it's good looking at players in case you find a team and you know you've identified some players.
"Look it has been Covid, and a lot of chairmen have set coaches already during the Covid. So ja, that's one of the issues.
"It's been difficult times for football and everybody. I think lot of them are toning down in terms of looking at high-profile coaches and things like that.
"But I'm still in the market, still in football 100 percent you know. I'm looking for a team in the PSL, NFD whether it's assistant or head coach that's fine."
