Top player agent Mike Makaab, of ProSport International, has issued the latest on his client Thamsanqa Gabuza, who has not seen a lot of game-time in the last year.
Despite being part of the Maritzburg United team that took part in the KwaZulu-Natal Premier's Cup recently, the former TS Galaxy center-forward is racing against time to find a club ahead of next season.
The 37-year-old has been without a team since parting ways with the Rockets last season, having fallen out of favour with head coach Sead Ramovic.

Following his appearance in the KZN Premier's Cup, there was talk that the gangly marksman had signed with Maritzburg, but his agent has since confirmed that he might still available to other clubs that might be interested in his services.
During his football career, Gabuza won the 2009 MTN8 with Lamontville Golden Arrows, before winning the same competition 10 years later with SuperSport United, notably winning the MTN8 Last Man Standing during the latter campaign.
In 2013, he moved to Orlando Pirates, where he spent a good six years.
In February, the man popularly known as 'Ganda-Ganda' asked to be released from his contract at Galaxy after managing just four starts and four substitute appearances.
With age no longer on his side, he is prepared to listen to any club that might need his experience as he is looking for that one last contract.
"Gabuza is still training, but he hasn't signed anything with Maritzburg United. Let's say he is just keeping fit at this stage," a source told KickOff.
Contacted for some clarity on the player's situation and his immediate future; Makaab said nothing had been finalized yet.
"There is no finality as yet, not at the moment," he said.
Maritzburg are currently campaigning in the Motsepe Foundation Championship following their relegation from the top tier in 2022/23, and are set to undergo a name change to Durban City FC.
