University of Pretoria 0-1 JDR Stars

University of Pretoria were denied successive wins in the Motsepe Foundation Championship following a 1-0 loss to JDR Stars at the Tuks Stadium on Sunday.

Furthermore, it's also the home side's first defeat of the season having won their last match before the recently concluded FIFA break.

The Hammerboys, though, are back to winning ways and closer to the top-half bracket after bagging the winning effort through Sfiso Mmolai in the second stanza of the contest.

Leruma United 0-1 Upington City

Upington City continued their winning run of form after seeing off the struggling and bottom-placed Leruma United 1-0 to go third on the table.

Bafana Ba Gucci were comprehensive victors over Baroka FC out in their last match, as Tlotlo Leepile secured the winning strike late in the second period.

For Leruma, it's a third consecutive loss of the season and continue to sit at the foot of the table with no points or goals scored.

Venda Football Academy 0-0 Durban City

Revamped Durban City were unable to return to the top of the table after a stuttering goalless draw with the Venda Football Academy in Thohoyandou.

The point see the club formerly known as Maritzburg United drop to second position -and their perfect start to the campaign scrapped, with Venda winless in the bottom-two.

Hungry Lions 0-1 Baroka FC

Baroka FC engineered their first win of the season post the Morgan Mammila era following a 1-0 victory over Hungry Lions in Kimberley.

It's the men from Limpopo's maiden success this term after a 4-1 loss to Upington City in their last match led to the departure of coach Morgan Mammila.

The winner came from Khomotjo Lekoloane in the opening half, as Di Tau suffered their first defeat of the new season.

Milford Stallions 0-0 Cape Town Spurs

Milford Stallions' winning start to the season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship ended following a goalless draw with Cape Town Spurs, but still moved to the top of the table on Saturday.

The men from the KwaZulu-Natal entered the campaign with successive victories on the bounce to edge closer to the summit, whilst Spurs' topsy-turvy return in the second tier continues.

Black Leopards 0-1 Casric Stars

Casric Stars secured a second consecutive victory in a 1-0 triumph over Black Leopards in Thohoyandou.

The charges from Mpumalanga maintained their perfect run of form and close-in to the upper echelon of the league standings.

With Lidoda Duvha handed their maiden loss of the campaign, it in-turn halted their perfect start to the season as former Stellenbosch FC winger Leletu Skelem netted the winner.

Kruger United 1-0 Pretoria Callies

New boys Kruger United bounced back from a winless start to the season and finally got their campaign off the mark with a 1-0 victory over Pretoria Callies.

It's back-to-back losses for the Romans, who before the FIFA break went down to the University of Pretoria as Kruger bagged maximum points following their loss to Durban City last time out.

Highbury FC 0-1 Orbit College

Orbit College, who for large parts of last season languish atop the table, registered their maiden win of the season through a 1-0 victory over Highbury FC.

This has been a difficult start to the campaign for Orbit, who lost to Hungry Lions before the International break but now unfortunately got over the line against Highbury.

For Highbury, it's been a tough debut outing in the second tier and in the bottom-three positions with no wins from three matches played to date
