Swallows FC took a giant leap towards the Absa Premiership after moving to the top of the GladAfrica Championship log on Wednesday.
The Dude Birds are one match away from automatic promotion after taking top spot from Ajax Cape Town, who lost 2-1 to JDR Stars thanks to Tshepo Matsemela's second-half brace at Rand Stadium.

Swallows beat Richards Bay FC 2-0 at Tuks Stadium courtesy of a goal in each half from Kagiso Malinga and Zanempi Methula to move to 54 points, level with the Urban Warriors.
However, Ajax's 2-1 defeat means Swallows' goal difference of 11 puts them top of the table despite Eleazar Rodgers' late goal moving their difference to 10.

In the day's other significant playoff clash, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila secured a promotion playoff spot with a 1-0 win over Uthongathi FC.
Naeem Amoojee's 75th-minute goal ensured TTM moved to 48 points, four points clear of fourth-placed Real Kings with only one match remaining.
It means the playoff places are decided ahead of the final round of fixtures on Sunday, with only the champions and the second relegation spot still to be determined.

Relegated Royal Eagles lost 2-0 to Mbombela United, meaning 15th place is set to be decided between Mbombela, TS Sporting and Jomo Cosmos on Sunday.
Sporting lost 2-0 to Real Kings and dropped into 15th place after Cosmos drew 1-1 with Steenberg United to move Jomo Sono's side out of the relegation places by one point.
Mbombela United's victory moved them to 32 points, two ahead of 14th-placed Cosmos (30) and three ahead of Sporting (29).
