Real Kings still gunning for GladAfrica Championship NFD promotion

The KwaZulu-Natal side are only seven points behind third-placed Uthongathi FC in the quest for a promotion playoff spot with.

With seven matches remaining in their GladAfrica Championship campaign, they also have a game in hand over The Cane Cutters.

The club's chief executive officer Philani Majola is still positive that football will resume so that they can go for their dream of earning promotion.

"Anything can still happen in football, we are not sure which team is most ready," Majola tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"Things can change when football resumes. We can still get that third spot."

Majola says as a club they are prepared and committed to finish the season and there will be no financial challenges for the players despite the delay in the restart.

"We are still committed to the cause. As far as we know the league will resume on the 1st of August," the Kings official says.

"The players are ready and we have assured them that their salaries won't be affected despite the delay. We are committed to keeping our promises in terms of salaries."
