Richards Bay FC continue to pay full salaries despite another PSL restart delay

Another delay for PSL football's resumption has affected many teams financially, with several of the 32 teams in the top two divisions having to implement salary cuts.

However, Richards Bay chairman Jomo Biyela has reassured his players the club will still pay them full salaries despite further economic challenges.

"All players will receive their full salaries," Biyela tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"We have to dig deep in our pockets as a club because players have commitments and they can't be suffering when we can pay them."

Biyela admits moving the restart date from 18 July to 1 August will hit them in wallet but sats there is nothing they can do because it is a national disaster.

"Obviously it's hard, we were expecting the league to end in May and now with the new delay we were forced to prepare for additional costs," he explains.

"It's an abnormal situation and we are happy that players understand the situation. For us, it's to make sure we keep our promises based on the contracts we signed with them."
