The Dube Birds moved one step closer to making a sensational comeback to the Premiership on Wednesday after moving top of the GladAfrica Championship log with one game remaining.
Swallows were relegated in 2014/15 and even found themselves in the obscurity of the third tier before new owners resurrected the club since 2018.
Ndlovu believes the new management will take the club back to where they were but feels that can only be achieved if they stay consistent on the field.
"They have what it takes to be back where they belong because they were not a club to be playing in the GladAfrica Championship," Ndlovu tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"They've been very good this season, showed their intentions, and I hope now they keep consistency and learn from past mistakes. Because in the top league you have to be in a good mindset on and off the field."
Swallows' final game of the season on Sunday is against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila, who have already secured a promotion playoff spot.
However, Brandon Truter's side need to better Ajax Cape Town's result against relegation-threatened Mbombela United to finish as champions and earn automatic promotion as the two teams are only separated by goal difference.
