The Dube Birds are currently second on the GladAfrica Championship table and stand a very good chance of playing top-flight football again next season.
"It's promising but if they can qualify for premier league, eish, they are going to struggle," Sebona admits to snl24.com/kickoff.
"Ja, that's what I've noticed. They've got too many youngsters and it doesn't balance well. The last time I watched they were playing Vuyo [Mere] and [Lebohang] Mokoena too far apart.
"They are supposed to be [playing] central for them to command well. Maybe Vuyo playing position four or five [centre-back]. He's got that ability of commanding the defence or to shape it. Actually in the central defence they need two quality players."
'Makhokhoba' believes coach Brandon Truter's side also lacks the kind of consistency that will allow them to compete at the top level, provided they can overtake NFD leaders Ajax Cape Town or win promotion through the playoffs.
"Hey it's quite tricky because they are also on and off. There are those games where you expect them to win but they draw," Sebona adds.
"The one [between Ajax and Swallows] that will have an edge is the one with enough discipline. But so far both of them seem to lose focus, and you must bear in mind when they come back [from the football suspension] we don't know how their players will respond."
