Khuboni joined the GladAfrica Championship side in January after months without a club and lockdown came at a time when he was trying to get more minutes.
The Cane Cutters are fighting for promotion to the Absa Premiership and sit in third place on the log, eight points behind leaders Ajax Cape Town with six matches to play.
The former Arrows star says even though he has not played regularly for his new team, he is not worried about his future.
"I'm not really stressed about my future but I still want to play football and contribute," Khuboni tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"I won't lie, there's no other team I'm in talks with besides Uthongathi. I still want to play for them and I'm not thinking too much about the contract."
Uthongathi spokesperson Nkosinathi Chili recently said the club is still discussing the futures of Khuboni, Siyabonga Nomvethe and Siyanda Zwane.
'Gonodo' says if the club decides against extending his contract, he is open to any decent offer as long playing football is involved.
"I just want to play football," he adds. "As long as the contract is good enough for me, I won't mind playing anywhere."
