'Skhwama Sama Taliyane' as Matete is popularly known in football circles has signed for GladAfrica Championship club University of Pretoria.
Matete's return to PSL football comes soon after former SuperSport United trickster Masibusane Zongo signed for Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila.
AmaTuks football manager Kenneth Neluvhalani has confirmed that Matete has signed for his team.
"We signed him together with goalkeeper Dumisani Msibi," Neluvhalani tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"He has already played a game against Free State Stars at the weekend."
Matete also played for Township Rollers after leaving Bakgaga but only lasted one season in Botswana.
University of Pretoria are currently lying in position eight on the NFD log with 26 points after 18 games.
