Tshepo Matete now free agent after leaving University of Pretoria - PSL transfer news

The dribbling wizard arrived at the club in January 2020 and made 11 appearances last season but did not return after the bio-bubble back in August.

According to AmaTuks CEO Kenneth Neluvhalani, the player left them after receiving interest from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.

"Ja long time ago hey [he left], he had a one-year contract," Neluvhalani tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"I think there was an offer from TTM. He left us, he didn't come back for the pre-season. His contract was just for a year with an option so he decided to move on. I think he wants to play in a PSL level."

Matete refused to comment on the matter.

The 29-year-old, who once played for Botswana giants Township Rollers for a season, started playing professionally in the 2015/16 season when he joined Bakgaga from ABC Motsepe League side Kathorus FC.
